The winding torque has a wide range of adjustment. After the adjustment, it can output constant torque to the reel shaft;2. It has good synchronization performance. Because the output torque units (worm gear and worm reduction mechanism and hydraulic coupling) are immersed in the oil, it has good skid performance and ensures the winding speed synchronizes with that of the mobile equipment.3. The worm gear and worm have good self-locking capability and can ensure the cable will not slip off the reel under the action of gravity when the motor is power-off.4. Working principle of cable drum: The motor is powered on to drive the worm and worm gear to rotate. The worm gear is installed on the reel shaft and can rotate freely. Two friction discs are installed on both sides of the worm gear and fixed on the reel shaft through keys. During rotation, oil film can be generated between the worm gear and them to transmit torque.
Motor torque is transmitted to the reel shaft through the hydraulic coupling combined with the worm gear reduction system. The hydraulic coupler is composed of a friction disc, a compressed spring, a spring holding disc and a torque adjusting nut. The output torque can reach zero and maximum by adjusting the compression of the spring on the hydraulic clutch.1. During cable winding: The motor operates, drives the worm and drives the worm and worm gear reduction system. At this moment, the hydraulic coupling generates friction and drives the reel to wind up the cable into the reel in a synchronous way.2. During cable release: There are two situations: ① Cable incoming from the end: During cable release, the mobile equipment travels, and the cable traction drum rotates in the opposite direction to release the cable. At this moment, the motor is power-off and shuts down, and the worm and worm gear mechanism self-locks. It overcomes the torque of the hydraulic coupling friction by dragging the cable to produce a slip frequency difference between the worm gear and the friction disc to release the cable on the reel. ② Cable incoming from the central part: During cable release, the mobile equipment travels, and the cable traction drum rotates in the opposite direction to release the cable. At this moment, the motor is power-on and carries out normal operation. It overcomes the torque of the hydraulic coupling friction by dragging the cable to produce a slip frequency difference between the worm gear and the friction disc. Meanwhile, the hydraulic coupling accelerates the slipping to release the cable on the reel.3. During shutdown: The worm and worm gear are capable of self-locking and cannot rotate in the reverse direction, thus can guarantee enough friction torque of the hydraulic coupling during motor power loss so that the cable will not slip off the reel under the action of gravity.
